So much to tell, and I'm flat out of energy and time to cover it all.
My son got married - pictures will follow eventually. Who? A lovely morris dancer!
At the wedding, my sister Carolyn mentioned that Sheffield University had a job vacancy for someone to sort out their timetables.
My daughter LIndsey used to schedule buses.
She applied for the job - and heard back today that she'd got it. She'll be working from home, it pays a lot better than being a postie - and you don't get bitten by dogs or end up with serious concussion after being hit by the door of a garage where a customer said it was safe to leave a parcel. No working outdoors carrying heavy parcels uphill in a 30C+ heatwave either. (the heatwave was the decider - she'd just get home and collapsed for most of the evening)
The sciatica operation was a resounding success, I can swim, drive, dance, etc. once more. I can think straight now I'm not in constant pain.
But, it's summer holidays, so Oswin is here four days a week - which is great, but draining....
And there are endless problems for the local Ukrainian community, only some of which I can offer help with. Some of the students fall into a Catch 22, where they qualify neither for student loans nor for Universal Credit.
KIrill is doing fine though.
