I can't take much more of this. I can't concentrate. My sense of balance is off (I feel wobbly when I walk). It's a horrible kind of limbo. Read more... )

I read recently that one technique for coping with stress is to tackle the job
you least want to do first.

It does help. It's the ones you keep putting off and avoiding that are the ones
that stress you most.

I can't do anything for Rosalie, but I've manged to do a couple of other jobs
that I'd been putting off and putting off with a variety of excuses.

Now to do the next one on the list.

[livejournal.com profile] pmcmurray asked:

1. What's your favourite room in your house and why?

The lounge. I have my favourite chair there. A Stressless recliner that has been a virtual lifesaver. Did wonders for my neck/shoulder pain. I couldn't watch TV for more than 30 mins before I got it.

2. What's your favourite season and why?

Autumn or spring. I hate extremes of temperature.

3. How would you describe yourself to a blind person?

I don't think I would. The one blind person I know, I just had ordinary conversations with. I don't ever recall describing myself to him. Would you give a physical description of yourself to a friend on LJ? Probably not, but they can't see you either.

4. What is your secret pleasure?

It's secret!

5. Do you follow your head or follow your heart?

That one is surprisingly hard to answer. NOrmally the head, I tend to be a pretty logical person. However, when the head pulls one way and the heart is pulling another and you try to get the whole lot in synch... Most of the time, you can get them together as our logic tends to be influenced by our emotions. eg. My head tells me that we need to cut CO2 emmissions and my heart agrees. One says if for logical pragmatic reasons of preserving the planet and the other says it because I have children and I love nature.
