Looks like LJ fixed whatever kept screwing things up yesterday. Which is somewhat of a relief. It was incredibly frustrating.
To cut a very long story short, our car broke down when Richard collected me from the station after I'd visited
predatrix. We had to call out the AA. They were unable to fix it, but did take us home.
Since then, we've got that car in for repairs, and also fixed Kelvin's old car which has been sitting on our drive for the last nine months. Both cars are now insured (after several hours of phone calls). We're still undecided as to whether to add Henry to the insurance. It costs a fortune to insure a learner driver when you're used to a maximum no claims discount.
I had the second session of the root canal work this afternoon and there's more yet to come.
The IUD was fitted two days ago - uncomfortable, but not too painful.
However, some things have been going well in spite of the toothache and other misc aches. On the whole, I'm not complaining (though the cost of the car repairs and insurance is wince-inducing. I suspect we'll sell one of the cars before long, but we need to know which one we prefer to drive first)
