Dreamwidth problems continued
We've established that most (but not absolutely everyone) can read my Dreamwidth page, except me.
waveney thinks it's a DNS corruption and should spontaneously clear within three days. We're getting pretty close to that three day limit now... (I have no idea what he's talking about, but he does!)
It's not my browser, as other Firefox users are fine.
It seems unlikely that it's anything at my end as I had no problems accessing Dreamwidth in the past.
If it's still down tomorrow, then the DNS theory is bust. I'm not sure what to do if that happpens.

Have you (or he) tried flushing the DNS cache?

Some thoughts:
1) try it from different computers in the same house (sharing the same internet connection)
2) if you are on wifi, try it wired
3) find someone with a laptop for whom it works, get them to come around and see if it still works
4) get waveney to trace which sites your browser is trying to access to download the bits of your DW page and then ping them individually.
etc.
Good luck!

Exactly what happens when it doesn't work for you?

The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Is it conceivable that you have some sort of malware which is intercepting and redirecting web traffic? Have you noticed anything else odd when browsing recently?

www.dreamwidth.com redirects to www.dreamwidth.org, but this doesn't seem to work for individual blogs.
