Had a great day, having a great evening. Now upto six phone calls from friends and family! It's nice to actually have some voice for once. I was able to talk all through the slouch and be on the winning team for two games of Articulate.
Unable to enjoy it with you, so I have ceremonially seen serenity and wallace and gromit as a tribute to making it a good day. (Both good films), hope it is/was as enjoyable for you
Only knew you were having a party because dougs mentioned it on Friday evening, and since I hadn't seen a party invite, I assumed it was going to be a small event ... of course, now I've gone back through LJ to the 29th of September I find that you'd posted then, but I left for Germany on the 28th and wasn't back online until the following Tuesday and nearly six days of LJ is too far back for me to read all my friends :-( Don't know if it was on the RED lists as I don't have access to stuff that far back from my machine at work (where I am at the moment, taking a quick coffee break and checking my email).
Otherwise I'd have been delighted to join you as I was sitting at home by myself on Saturday evening bemoaning the lack of anything worthwhile on TV.
That's a shame. I'd have loved to have you along. I did post a note on the Redemption committee list a week or two back in the hope of flushing you out.
We'll be doing another Silvercon at some point. You're already on the mailing list for that, so - fingers crossed - you'll be able to make it.

It would have been lovely to see you (and I could have given you your CD case back as I've put it in an obvious and safe location (on the DVD shelves near the couch) so I will be able to find it quickly.
Thank you for the lovely reply. On rereading what I first said, I was afraid it could have been read as some sort of demand of "how I should be contacted", but you've replied beautifully :-)
When I was working in Farnborough, it would have been easier coming down to see you, but even now I have the choice of heading home after work, grabbing the car and driving down, or just jumping on a train from Waterloo down to, say, Poole (takes between 2 and 2.5 hours) and getting an early train back the next morning.
