Panic attacks again. My mother phoned briefly last night. The news on Rosalie
isn't getting any better. She still can't keep food down.
I'm largely coping by thinking about it as little as possible. There's nothing
practical I can do to help right now. Richard is looking after Molly and I
can't leave Henry on his own.
At least Molly is feeling a lot better. The fracture was a nasty one and she
ended up spending several days in hospital. Now her natural confidence and love
of life has returned and she's able to laugh at herself again. If I'm like her
when I'm 75, I shall be well pleased. Richard is busy converting stuff from her
freezer and lots of stuff from the garden into ready meals that she can just pop
into the oven when he's gone. (there's no local shops where she lives and she
doesn't have a car - supermarkets aren't an easy option when taxis are
expensive. Besides, she's always cooked proper meals - never lived out of
packets/boxes) He's also doing lots in the garden for her. Molly virtually
lives for her garden - it's a really lovely place.
Still dreading the day when Henry's exams are over and I have to tell him about
his aunt.
The voice is improving slowly, but it's still pretty rough. I can't talk much
on the phone and I'm not at all sure that I'll be able to work this weekend.
Relying on sister in America who has a voice to relay my gossip to Rosalie.
Gossip/waffle is a good thing when you need distraction from a rather nasty
reality.
Right now, my personal distraction is fanfic. At least I can control what
happens to my characters. Just for once, I think I may allow them some happy
endings. Shall I let Harry have what he so desperately wants? Hmmm.

At least is Rosalie is now home, though if nourishment becomes an issue they're keeping a bed open for her for a few days. I'll be in England next Friday to see her.
