watervole | The rogue charity collector part c

I've now tracked down my rogue collector. She was working for a Poole organisation called 'Skyline' (not to be confused with a London-based organsisation of the same name). Apparantly, she was at the Folk Festival without their knowledge, acting off her own bat. She a volunteer, which may possibly explain her lack of knowledge of the law. It looks like poor training might be part of the problem.

I'm told:

Skyline have dealt with the matter and will ensure in future that it is made clear to all collectors that
we must only collect where and when they indicate and any collector staging collections without
permission will be dismissed.

So that's something to the good. Now let's see if they hand over the cash to the Folk Festival.

I must admit that I'm glad she wasn't a total rogue. There has been a lot of cases recently of people pretending to collect for charity.
