 So what did I get my daughter in the end?

I can't even remember who/what sparked off the idea, but her reaction when I asked if she'd like one for her birthday was "Definitely!  As long as I don't buy it first"  

Good quality reproduction, made to size, Naval Lieutenant's uniform. (Lin's brother is paying for half of it)
