Voted

I did what I often do. I voted for the party in the national elections and for the candidate in the local ones. This won't be the first time I've voted for canditates from two different political parties on the same day.

There was no local election here - just the General Election

I did the same, though the opposite way round (candidate for general, party for local.)

Makes sense to me. You have more chance to know more about your local, what kind of person they are.
Do you think it's the case that someone in a local election is less likely to behave like a cog in a wheel of their party politics?
