 I only came across Eleanor Powell recently while I was looking for old Fred Astaire movies.

By Lord, that woman could dance.

I just ADORE Eleanor Powell. Her number with Astaire in Broadway Melody of 1940 is just beyond belief. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVh5j5_OIYU). How did they count it? How did they make it work? How many hours of rehearsal??
