Well, I don't know about Gareth Thomas, but it amused me immensely (and anyone else of a certain generation, I should think!)

I hadn't realised there were quite so many scenes of people (other than Vila) drinking things over the course of the series. Lots of pictures of walls/ceilings falling down, naturally... And some of those reaction shots are priceless when repositioned into that context.

If he'd been at the last Redemption or two, I suspect some of us would have sat him down and shown him a few vids on someone's tablet, including that one. Because, yes, it would have amused him.

This one is my favourite and yes, even though I didn´t know Gareth personally or closer, I believe you are right.
