Voice? What voice?

I knew this throat infection was going to be trouble. I cancelled all the maths lessons I was able, but I couldn't catch one pupil at home in order to tell him.

I did his lesson and it's wrecked my voice. It's not volume; it's just needing to talk most of the time for a whole hour. I can barely whisper today.

It isn't that the infection is still haunting me; it's that anything that hits my throat always does serious damage. Those of you who've known me a long time will be familiar with the problem and recall my early days in fandom when I had
to resort to conversations in notebooks.

I think the main reason why I'm still in fandom (whereas I gave up morris dancing) is because fans are willing to make the effort/take the time to listen to someone who has to talk in whispers or has to rely on hand gestures or written no
tes.

I'm still hoping to make the ZZ9 slouch this weekend, but I'll probably have notebook in hand. If I wasn't posting this entry offline, it would have a clanger icon. (For new readers to this journal, a clanger icon generally means that m
y face to face conversation is as likely to be in whistles as words)
