Google photos is pretty crap

 I'm looking at Google photos - as Picassa will soon be unsupported. All I can say is that I'm really not impressed.

All the photos  here, are classified as 'horses'.  (Okay, I've managed to get rid of them the hard way -but there were a vast number of photos of longsword, maypole and morris dancing. Some of them were shot on a farm with a stable in the background, but they still didn't look anything like horses)


And there's no way to easily select all the photos so I can change them as a block. I have to click on each and every one of them -there's no way to click and drag to select a batch at once.

And I can't see any way to move  group of them to a new album either.

Another not fun bit is that when I clicked on the link, it wouldn't show me anything unless I signed in with my google ID. I have a google ID but I can never remember the password, so I didn't bother.

I was using Picasa too. :-( I decided to go with Flickr as you can set up albums and sub-albums and mass-edit.

That's worth knowing. What I really can't face is the thought of having to enter all my comments and tags again.

I'm starting to realise how ephemeral electronic media are.
