Clanger mode...
Four maypole bookings in two weeks. Calling dances for one to two hours total in each case.
I've lost my voice. Been a while since I last lost it, but it used to be a very big problem for me.
I'm not sure how long it will take to come back again, but I suspect it will be a week or two at least before I'm normal again.
I see several days of whispering or whistling clanger style before me.
I've got my first day's work with Showsec next Sunday. I'm not quite sure what I'll be doing as there are several possible things for stewards to do at concerts and the like. It's going to be a long shift, so I suspect my feet will be really tired by the end.
I'm doing the Showsec work mainly because although I think the bookshop is going to renew the lease at the end of this month, we haven't actually had official confirmation of this, so I want to make sure I have a second job option if I need it.
Next maypole booking is a month away, so at least my voice should be okay for that.

Be careful, vocal chords can be damaged easily. I finished with mine like that after my teaching career. Instead of staying at home and be silent, I went on teaching and talking, all that several times. Now I can“t sing properly which is sad because I LOVE singing.

I tend to be very careful, but if I'm being paid to do a maypole booking, I can't really back out if I get a little croaky.
Rest will fix it, but it will take time.
