Serpent concerto

For those asked what a serpent sounds like, here's a link to Simon Proctor's Serpent Concerto

The woodwind and piano music on the same page come from his 'Sounds of Kent' CD, of which I have copies for sale...

Wow. This sounds like a really ancient instrument. Harsh and difficult to handle..?
Thank you for this collection. It is fantastic!!!

Grand Grand Overture for Three Vacuum Cleaners, Floor Polisher, and Concert Band was written by Malcolm Arnold in 1956 for Full orchestra. This transcription keeps the frivolity of the original. For this performance the part of the Floor Polisher is played by a Hoover upright who remembers the first perfomance of this piece at the Hofnung Festival.

The website doesn't seem to be working.

Simon Proctor's CDs are among my favourites to listen to these days, though.

I assume that Mr. Proctor currently has a supportive artistic environment with no need for the internet. At the same time, if you ever decide to start a Kickstarter or Indiegogo project to support the recording of a new CD, I'd be very likely to support it.

The website was down temporarily due to a server glitch.

Simon doesn't have regular internet access, though he can at least receive emails these days.

He's in a much better artistic environment since Autumn last year and he's able to do a lot more work.

If you know anyone who'd like to commission him to write anything, he'd definitely be interested. Composition is his big love. He's just working on a brass band piece at the moment for a band in the north of England.
