Tidying drawers

I'm having a very efficient morning.  Tidying the desk top required me to put stuff in one of the desk drawers which hold all my banking stuff. This has just resulted in a mass throwout of cheque books and other stuff from accounts I no longer use, and the junking (and cutting in half) of bank account for which I do not need a card.  For some purposes, like the charity I'm a trustee for, I prefer to use cheques or online banking.  I never need to do cash withdrawals.  I actually want a clear paper trail for the treasurer to be able to follow.

The desk pile is going down.  I still haven't won.  There seem to be a lot of old photos and unlabelled CDs to plough through, but I'm making progress even there.

A load of folk festival minutes to check through for uncleared action points also seem to be lurking...

This sounds like a very busy start of the new year! I wish I was brave enough to open my drawer with all the papers and sort them out as well.
Of course I will have to do it eventually:-)
