I think I'm finally getting there.

No bleeding/spotting at all for two whole days now. I had a period last week
and it was the lightest one I'd had in years.

I think this may work out after all. The other side effects (mainly tender
breasts and very slight nausea) are diminishing. The doctor said the side
effects would ease over time and it looks as though she was right.

What will hopefully happen now is that the spotting never comes back and the
periods continue to get lighter and lighter and maybe vanish altogether.

Wonderful news:). That's what happened with my mother when she got one. She's recommending one to me already because of the excruciating period pains in our family...
