Where my friends live.

I finally got myself accurately plotted on the infamous LJ map. I used to, heaven knows how, to be in the middle of the sea!

I'm trying to get all my Livejournal friends' locations plotted on a map - please add your location starting with this form.

It's the way [livejournal.com profile] altariel1 is still floating in the Indian Ocean a long way off the East African coast that worries me!

How to get in the right place on the map

I noticed Snowgrouse was floating in the briney as well.

I got some tips from [livejournal.com profile] vilakins or I'd probably still be floating myself. In essence, she says: Don't use the world map, click on the tab at the top to get 'United Kingdom' or whatever. Then input the name of a large town near you; then use the X4 zoom in, and *only* then do you click where you live on the map.

If you're already on the map as I was, you have to go through an extra step which is essentially security to prevent anyone else altering your location.

Yes, I started from the city when I originally did it, which did help!
