I finally have a working computer for LJ. It may not work for much else yet (Word may/may not arrive later), but for now, I'm happy.
I've got e-mail on one computer and LJ on another, but that will end when we finally get the computers networked, firewalled and fixed with broadband. Admittedly, this will take place in what I call 'Peter Pan time' (this year, next year, sometime never), but I'm in no mad rush. I can use LJ without logging in and without it crashing all the time. For now, that's enough.

And hope the networking happens soon. Setting up a firewall/router for my puters is one of the best moves I've made, and cost all of fifteen quid. It's so much easier when the net connection is shared across all puters, no matter what their breed.
