Losing posts

Grrr.  Dw just lost another post of mine.  Sometimes, the auto-save on drafts doesn't work properly.

I've been experimenting with the add-on Lazarus, but with Chrome at least, it seems to be of little help.  It was able to resurrect the title of my post, but not the body.

Yes, I know I know I could compose in a text file and paste it in, but my brain just doesn't work that way.

I'm told that the all new shiny sparkling update page with substantially improved interface, post saving and similar is a lot closer to ready now, which will be nice.

I'm really looking forward to multiple draft posts, templates and post scheduling, all will be very useful.

I was going to suggest just that... :-) I almost never compose a post in LJ, just as I almost never compose a long email in an actual email.

Do you use a PC or Mac? If a PC, switching back and forth between programs is very easy with the alt-tab command. It's such a time saver. (Apologies if you already know about it.)

Thanks. I hadn't tried alt tab, but I think it might be helpful.

What you could do is, just before you hit "post", do "ctrl-a" and then "ctrl-c" to select all and copy the message onto the clipboard so if it gets lost, you can just paste it all back in.
