EDF are crap
When I changed gas suppliers this year, I went with EDF in spite of them not being the cheapest option as the comparison web site I used gave them a good rating for customer service.
Their service to date has been universally crap. They were totally unhelpful at the time of the supplier changeover. Currently, they appear to have lost my direct debit when I changed banks in spite of all my other direct debits moving over just fine. When I phone them to sort out the problem, I go through all the usual automated systems, only to be cut off as soon as the system promises a human being. This has happened on multiple occasions.
Don't touch them with a barge pole.

Having said that, we've never had to contact them so I can't comment on their customer service. It sounds like you're having rotten luck though :(

I suggest you go back to the comparison web site and give them a very poor rating for customer service!

I use propan-butan for my stove(I have an electric oven though). I buy a 10 kg "bomb" for a month and I change it myself (or my son does, as far as he is at home, that is). So my own services are fast, perfect - and often very ...expressive.:-)
