Help needed with medical technobabble

I'm just about to attempt something related to telepathy and energy use in the human body in a piece of fanfic.

I like to get my technobabble to have at least some genuine science in it (which is admittedly hard in the case of telepathy...).

If anyone feels they can help, please drop me a line and I'll explain the plot problem. 

If you're a Stargate fan, even better.  (Doesn't matter if you're not though, one alien gizmo is pretty much like another!)
