Pewter hat badges

Anonymous Morris now have our top hats.

The aim is to decorate them with small objects, in team colours of red, black and silver/white.

Here's my first item:

Little pewter pin badges are ideal as the pin goes right through the thickness of that hat - broach pins would be no use at all.

If anyone has any  unwanted pewter animal pin badges collecting dust in a drawer, I'd be very happy to have them...

(I'm still learning with my new camera.  I've started a photobucket account, but I don't know how to make the picture on LJ a sensible size.  It looks bigger here than it does on Photobucket)

Where did you get the hat?

£34 from Jaxom hats. http://www.hatsandcaps.co.uk/Jaxon-Hats-Mid-Crown-Top-Hat-P193700/

Good quality wool felt. Looks as though it will wear well.

If I was seeing you in the near future I'd sell you one at a discount as I bought a bulk batch.

7 1/4 or 59; what discount?

Probably not really as I'd like to try it on first.

You're a size L by their measuring.

I can only offer 10% off (unless you're XL, in which case you get 20%), so it's not worth waiting around for.

They sell sweat bands which are handy for people between sizes.

I'll leave it be, but thanks for the offer. At some point I want to replace my grey one that doesn't fit with a black one that does, but there's no rush. It's a frivolous thought.
