Do I know anyone in/near Rickmansworth?

There's a meeting I'd rather like to go to in Rickmansworth (Herts) on Sunday 3rd October about methods of recruiting members for morris sides.

However, when I look at the train times, It's clear that I can't get there and back in one day.
The meeting starts at 11.30 and ends at 4pm.  I would have to leave Poole the day before to get there in time.

So, just checking the long shot to see if I know anyone in the area who would fancy a Saturday night visitor.  London may also be an option.

I'm not a very long way from there, but I don't really have much accomodation (read: the place is a mess with only room for me to sit anywhere!). There is however a Premier Inn in Watford under 3 miles away for 56 per night (plus breakfast -- but breakfast includes porridge!) if you get stuck.

(Or if you really want to, I do have a spare bed and could probably find some bedding -- oh yes, it's in the car *g*. Somewhere to sit is more of a problem. I could pick up and take to Ay station, though, trains to/from Marylebone go through Rickmansworth although I'm not sure if the fast ones stop there (I haven't been into London by train for ages), at a rough guess it's around 25 minutes and they run (into London) every half hour.)

Sorry we can't oblige! Would love to have another go at showing you our allotment with its current crop of red orache seed-heads, pumpkins and nasturtiums. But we have my sister from Oz plus kiddies in town then...
