More fungal spores

Another couple of days with a high fungal spore count.  This is really starting to get to me. My chest feels tight a lot of the time.  I've tripled my normal dose of asthma medication and the side-effects are starting to kick in now.  I'm finding it harder to sleep.  It's a choice of feeling tired from the asthma, or tired from the insomnia caused by the salmeterol.  And as the tiredness kicks in, it gets harder to exercise, which increases the chance of setting up a vicious circle in which the asthma gets worse overall.

I hope to goodness it eases up soon. Apparantly this has been a really good Autumn for fungi.

I'm glad it's not just me.

Er. Well, obviously it would be lovely if it was just one person, but you know what I mean.

There has been a monster crop of 8" mushrooms on the green outside my house, more than we can remember in the 60 years we've lived here.

I'm glad you mentioned the fungal spores, as it explains why my chest's been a lot worse than usual as well.

There are toadstools all over the verges outside work, and huge ones in the bushes at home. I've never seen anything like it before.

I am so sorry to read you suffer so much. I also hope this difficult time will pass quickly. You are right, this autumn is unusually good for all kinds of fungi, here too. *Big hugs*

I have no idea if these would help, but have you considered trying a Dust Filter Mask?

According to Asthma UK, most filters will make little impact on pollen and spores.
