Morris Workshop

Anonymous Morris inches gradually forwards.

I was out dancing with the Quayside Cloggies last night (well, partly dancing, partly walking owing to the knee/tendon trouble), and we were dancing with New Forest Medlars who dance both Cotswold and Border.

I got chatting to them, and their best dancer (who used to be Foreman) has offered to come along and do a workshop for Anonymous Morris and probably bring along a couple of musicians.  He's also offered to act as a shadow for Henry while Henry settles into the job of being Foreman for Anonymous Morris.  It would mean that Henry can be in charge, but have someone to fall back on for expertise if he forgets part of a dance or has a problem with the stepping.

I've also signed up two more young people who would be interested in such a workshop.

It's becoming clear that young people ARE interested in morris dancing, but that they want to dance with their own age group.

This sounds like a very promising development! I will keep my fingers crossed for Anonymous Morris.
