Loved the new movie.  It manages the amazing trick of being both true to the original and working on its own merits.

I hope they do a series!

It's got both the sense of adventure and the sense of fun.  And the cheerful hand-waving science...

Bones and Spock both had moments that echoed the original actors in an amazing way.

Captain Pike was great!

I was surprised at how great Captain Pike was. It's a pity we probably won't see any more of him.

先生から、阿修羅展のpost cardでお稽古に来ないので心配していると連絡
を戴いた。
忙しいと言っているのに、かってに悩みがあるのかとか、病気なのかとか思って

で、ルイスは、2月からずっと、ハワイにご招待するから、予約入れないでとか私に
言い続けている。
どうなの？今月末から来月中はハワイへ行くからお休みするって先生に言ってもいいの？

Didnt they just - it was uncanny how some of Chris Pine's facial expressions were so like the original Kirk and Karl Urban;s attitutde was spot on for Bones. But then so was Chekov's accent! Scotty was suberb also and I liked what they'd done with Spock bringing out the being caught between two cultures. Spock saying Live Long and Prosper to the Vulcan Science Committee with a not very silent subliminal "Now F*** off" tagged on at the end of it .LOL.

Also liked that Kirk didnt get the girl - Spock did :-)
