Do you only get filters on Dreamwidth if you've a paid account?

I notice that although DW has imported my filters from LJ, I can't actually use them. (I'm not intending to move over, just playing around)

You should be able to post entries to custom filters. If you can't then you may need to recreate them here.
What you can't do yet, but it is in progress, is being able to filter which journals show up on your reading page.

Ah, found it. I'd assumed that because I couldn't read filters, I couldn't post to them either.
