Starting new jobs

Richard and I both started new jobs today.

I've just had a phone call to say they're closing the school because of the snow, so I don't need to go in today.

On the other hand, a guy Richard needs to talk to about his project has been trapped locally by the snow, so he's getting more useful work done than he'd originally anticipated.

It's an ill wind that blows nobody luck!

I'm missing a really important exam revision session at Uni today, but on the other hand, I'm home, so can do some self-guided revision instead :)

Noon here, 5 p.m. your time: I just saw pictures of Surrey and Kent in the snow. Hmmm. What a mess. (A lot of fun for kids in the snow.)
