Stargate

Is anyone interested Stargate, but not actually a fan?

I've a DVD that I won at [livejournal.com profile] connotations of the first episode and three
of the best first season episodes. If anyone can play PAL DVDs, it's theirs for
the asking.

I'm all in favour of pimping one of my favourite shows. Stargate isn't an SF
classic in the way Babylon 5 is, but it's good fun, the characters interact
well, and the writing (especially in the early seasons) creates some very good
stories.

My brother just dumped a box of Stargate vids on my sideboard. This should be fun :)

Let me know if you enjoy it. I get a lot of pleasure from it. I think it was what kept me going when [livejournal.com profile] waveney was made redundant by Marconi a few years ago. He has work now - but I still enjoy Stargate.

I love all the characters and the developing UST between Carter and O'Neill actually persuaded me to write a pairing that wasn't slash, for the first time.

I've not actually got into Stargate yet, a bunch of friends have and keep telling me I should. It's on my list of things to do soon (it's a big list!)

I shall acquire the DVD boxsets from www.Play247.com sometime when I have some minutes to rub together ; though going there is a scary prospect, as the last time I visited, just to check the status of my pre-order for the DVD of the second series of Blakes 7, I had 1500 quids worth of DVDs in my Basket before I decided that I should close the browser :)

Worth keeping an eye on HMV - they often have the first 30 or so DVDs at around £6 each.
