Spelling and 400 grains of rice

I'm quite enjoying the free rice spelling game.   I've got my score up to 46 so far.  At the point the words get really difficult.

I reached 47, missed three questions (two about sheep and one about sea turtles) and got busted back to 46. I went on, but I had to make myself stop.

The words do get *really* obscure.

Aaaaargh, that's horribly addictive...... my eyes are going squarey!!

I got up to 50 once, but came down again fairly quickly...

Me too. Some fun words in there!

I get to 47 then fall back a level or so then oscillate between 45 and 47, It's like picking lint, frustrating and annoying but strangely addictive!

Some of the definitions are plain wrong, as well.

Not always wrong (as far as I've found), but often very misleading. eg. A colobus may be a monkey, but it doesn't *mean* monkey.

My score hovered around 41-43, occasionally going up to 45 before I hit a run of obscure ones and got knocked back down.

I forced myself to stop at 2000 grains.

BTW I noticed one of their sponsors is the Radisson hotel group...
