Birth order and homosexuality
From a conversation elsewhere, it's clear that many of my friends are unaware of this particular study.
In essence, it shows that the more older brothers a man has, the higher his chances are of being gay. The most likely cause is that the mother's immune system is affected by carrying a male fetus and she produces antibodies that affect subsequent male babies.
There's also a decrease in birthweight for subsequent male children, which may have a related cause.
The same has also been shown to happen with sheep (around 8% of rams are homosexual).
