Scrabble

Scrabble has changed a lot from the days of my youth.  Seems that acronyms are now an accepted part of the dictionary.  I experimented with playing 'sau' (I thought there was a chance it could be an old form of 'sow' as the German for a female pig is 'sau').  The word was accepted, but when I finally found a dictionary that recognised it, the meaning given was:  Secure Access Unit

If you are interested in the definition of words I suggest you use the Association of British Scrabble Players.

The list is comprehensive and up-to-date. You'll find sau is in as an alternative spelling of xu.

Actually, that link gives sau as a Vietnamese coin...

"xu" being the commoner form of the name of the coin.
