Things to do meme

What shall we do?
Borrowed from ... ummm ... Who?

I want anyone and EVERYONE who reads this to post in here something they would like to do with me someday.

Then post this in your journal to find out what I want to do with you.

Listen to Artisan (is that the right spelling?) live. Wouldn't that be cool?

Oh yes! That would be fun. They're great people as well as being wonderful singers and fans to boot.

Did I tell you there's even a Hitchhikers joke in their current show?

No, you didn't happen to mention it.

BTW, while we're discussing things to do, can I put in an advanced request to visit you after Redemption '05?

But of course . It'll probably be the only time when I get to write any clean filks! (Though I might exaggerating a bit for effect there...)

I love having fannish vistors and I always love having you to stay.

The Stour awaits...

But of course.
Always good to ask. I'm trying not to take things for granted.

(snort)

(big smile) I love staying.
Though you might have to dig out an extension cord this time, as I'll need somewhere to plug in the CPAP machine -- Julia came through with the plug-changer, so it should work fine. (I think I would not bring the humidifier though, because even though I won't sleep quite as well, it's too much fuss to look after and won't travel well.)

The Stour awaits...
Let's hope that I've managed to throw the cane away by that time...

Have a water fight at Winspit with you!

I went there in the summer so I shall, when I draw breath, get a page up about it.

BTW - why the name Waveney as your press? Anything to do with Norfolk?

What she said, though no doubt I'd end up soaked in very little time!

I'll put a message here next summer when the next fight is due. It's always fun when we have a good turnout.

Well spotted for the Norfolk connection. My husband and I met at the university of East Anglia. The student residences were named after local rivers and I was in Waveney Terrace.

Aha UEA!

I know Norwich quite well. BF Garienos lives in Yarmouth and I lived in Wisbech (middle of nowhere) for four years.

Thought of you when I was stamping along the Round Norfolk Path along the Waveney in the summer ...

Can I copy the 'LOve and Mariage' review onto my web site?

Of course. BTW the woman's name in it is Chris.

Will try to send Spacefall away with the tape to make some screen grabs.

Another BTW.

Joyce also sent over Randal and Hopkirk, the earlier Casualty and two really old 'uns The Watercress Girl and Country Dance.

Want reviews of that lot ??

Gareth reviews

Yes please. Reviews are good. I really liked the Watercress Girl.

Do you ever come to UK conventions?

I always do Redemption (not much choice seeing as I'm chair...) and the Eastercon and I'll probably do Novacon this year.

[identity profile] supergee.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
I have never left this continent, though [livejournal.com profile] nellorat and [livejournal.com profile] womzilla have hopes of dragging me to next year's worldcon.

Worldcon

[identity profile] watervole.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 10:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm going along with my yonger son. Our first ever Worldcon, so I'm looking forward to it, though I find the sheer size rather intimidating.

I read that and smiled immediately. I so much want to meet her.

Walk along a river bank with you on a gently sunny afternoon.

[identity profile] watervole.livejournal.com 2004-09-08 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I know the perfect riverbank. It's not far from here and in summer there are lots of banded demoiselle dragonflies and they look absolutely lovely as they fly above the water margins. There's a kingfisher and children playing in the water by the bridge and thatched cottages not far away and it's one of my favourite walks.

The river Stour, near Wimborne.

I was going to ask for tea with you and the family but the river walk idea sounds pretty good too.

[identity profile] watervole.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 10:19 am (UTC)(link)
It's a shame all those wanting to walk along the river live in Scotland or Australia or I'd invite you all round next weekend.

A standing invite to stay for a weekend next time one is in the Kingdom would do.

The walk along the Stour sounds lovely.

Actually, that sounds nice too, so long as it isn't too far.

Hmmmm....

Oh, add my name to the list of riverbank walkers. I can take it a bit further by offering you ... a walk along the river Stour. We've got one in Kent as well. Bits of it are quite pretty. Other bits are ... well, best not discussed, really.

Banded Dems would be nice, haven't seen one for years. One smart odo.
