Lurgi

I seem to have picked up something that makes me dizzy, runny nose, sore throat, earache and general ugh.

Still, at least I'm just about awake enough to make progress with Deathly Hallows.

I think we've got it too. He's a bit sniffly and we're both tired and under par. Yay for DH!

Oh, poor you. I've just got over one that dragged on... hope you get better much faster :)

Yes, that sounds similar to mine.

I got home from work sometime late afternoon, fell asleep in front of the laptop almost as soon as I sat down. I woke up in the middle of the night (while LJ wasn't working so I couldn't write about it) and went to bed, I'm only just up again and I still feel exhausted.

Commiserations, I'm just getting over that. Short but unpleasant is my verdict on it.

It took two doses of antibiotics to clear up a very similar sounding illness I had from the beginning of the month till last week, I had a tickle in the back of my throat as well that made me cough all the time. Doctors said it was a sinus infection. If it lasts more than 3 days go and ask about antibiotics.

Lurgi are generally caused by viruses. Antibiotics don't work against those. Lots of rest, vitamins and clear liquids do help. In any case, I hope all sufferers feel better soon, and boy am I glad there's a whole sea between you and me...

Then my version of the lurgi was bacterial, it appeared to clear up during the first 5 day dose I took then 3 days after the last tablet it was back worse than ever. It took an other dose and a week on holiday in Eire to cure it, though I think the antibiotics were mostly the reason %P.

I have a sore throat, and low-level fuzziness, head, and general feeling of yuck. Still, if I have to have a con lurgy, better this one than the Eastercon vomiting nastiness.

Having had both, I agree with you totally!

HUGS

Feel better soon, you.

I'm sorry; I hope you're feeling better soon. And, in the meantime, that you're enjoying the book...

Oh dear. It sounds absolutely horrible :( I do hope it eases soon!

Here's the cute fuzzy bunny to (I hope) make you feel a bit better. Summer viruses/colds are the worst.
