Junk shifting with DougS

Spent a surprisingly enjoyable day helping [personal profile] dougs shift a load of stuff from his lounge and conservatory.  We took masses down to the tip and the recycling collection.  We achieved our primary target of recovering the sofa and also made a good route from the lounge to the back door.

I'm no good at cleaning (tends to set off my neck trouble), but I'm very good at this kind of junk shifting that required wading through stuff and making rapid decisions as to what is rubbish and what isn't, and what to do with it all.

I'm seriously considering doing this professionally.  If you know anyone with a serious space problem from accumulation of rubbish/possessions/stuuf they just can't tackle and who would be willing to pay to help get it all sorted, then let me know.

Of course, that's why my neck was stiff today! I hoovered all the rooms my mother is likely to use during tomorrow's visit, a job I do so rarely that I'd forgotten the side-effects.

I would suggest you come and sort out my piles of stuff, except that they're mostly work papers, and I don't think anyone except me is qualified to decide what matters and what doesn't.

http://www.apdo-uk.co.uk/become.htm is the professional body website and they have some sound advice. £30 to £60 an hour is the quoted rate, and they suggest most business comes from the web.

Does Mr Watervole have time to set you up a site?
