watervole: (We're lost aren't we?)

I've lost my new glasses

I had my new varifocals while I was out gardening - they're only useful for some things, but they come in handy for weeding on occasion.  At some point, I put them on the bonnet of the car - both Richard and I remember that.  They're no longer there, but it's quite possible that I put them on again and put them down somewhere else.  Except that I've looked in all the obvious places where I tend to leave glasses.  (No, before you ask, the car hasn't been moved since I put them there)

I can't find them anywhere.

I have not eaten them.

I am not wearing them.

I am not sitting on them.

I have not cooked them.

I have not put them on the compost heap.

Two, possibly pointless observations,

1, You haven't got them perched on top of your head? -done that before now!

2, It's surprising how far a supposedly non round object can bounce/move from the point a strictly Newtonian view of the world would suggest. At least quadruple the search radius.
