Molly's arm is healing at last

My mother-in-law (a wonderful women whom I really get on with) broke her arm just a few days after Rosalie's cancer was diagnosed.

After two months of no improvement at all, today's X-ray showed that the bone is finally knitting.

It was such a relief to have some good news, to hear her joy over the phone.

Henry's going to visit her for a few days starting tomorrow. He always gets on with his granny and I know he'll be able to give her some practical help around the house and garden while he's there.

Yeay, good news at last!

How old is Henry? I've forgotten.

Seventeen now, and taller than I am. He was *much* smaller when you first met him.

I can toss him into the public transport system and know that he's perfectly capable of navigating his way from Dorset to a small village in Kent without needing any assistance from me.

My philosophy of life is to teach one's offspring to read timetables and then you rarely need to drive them anywhere.

But of course!
