Barclays occasionally suck, but the reason I still keep my current account with them is the helpfulness of the staff at the branch in Broadstone. They're always courteous and polite and unfailingly helpful.
Today, I managed to leave my bank card at home. A tad embarassing when you want to buy a large money order in dollars. With most banks, this would be a mega-problem, but at Barclays the staff all know me by face. They cheerfully agreed that I was indeed me, asked me one quick security question to be on the safe side, and proceeded to let me buy the money order from my current account with no hassle at all.
