Message centre

Does anyone know how to set the LJ message centre so that it will only show messages that you have pinboarded?

I get replies to comments sent to me by email and they also appear in the message centre and clog it up for when I want to check things that I pinboarded.

My understanding is that it hasn't got all the bugs out yet. But theoretically, on the message center page there's a link on the right called 'manage settings'. Uncheck the options you don't want.

I tried that. It did not seem to offer the option I wanted.

To be sure, I don't think the system is designed very well. I hope they'll improve it soon.

Also, I understand they're going to be dropping the old-style e-mail notifications eventually, so you might want to go ahead and shut off e-mail notifications and just pin everything. Though I'd find that annoying, myself.

See the little map pin symbol above enties these days? It allows you to mark entries so that you can go and read other people's comments that are added later. It was in LJ news not long ago.
