Tooth update

Still no cancellations at the dentist. I'm currently booked to have the wisdom tooth removed on 10th October. (It has to be a cancellation before the end of a session to be of any use to me as the dentist wants a margin in case he hits any problems and needs more time)

The x-ray was inconclusive, which is what we'd both feared. We can't be totally certain that removing the tooth will cure the problem - it's just the best bet that we have.

In the meantime, the tooth keeps aching and I keep throwing pain-killers at it. At least I haven't had any screaming agony attacks for over a week - it's just the ongoing background ache that drains me and makes it hard to think straight.

Hopefully, removing it will solve it, and fingers crossed for a cancellation.

When my granny had trouble with toothache back in the sixties (might even have been fifties), standard practise at the time was to remove all the teeth and get a set of falsies.
