The toothache is back...

Had nearly two days free of toothache. Should have known it was too good to last. However, the up side is that I've identified a trigger which might help the dentist pin down the problem.

Normally, eating doesn't trigger it, but what I realised today is that this is because the tooth has had so much removed that it doesn't touch the one on the opposite jaw. ONly when I eat something with real bulk that doesn't bite easily is there any real pressure. Something like leeks...

I've dosed it with clove oil (which sometimes helps) and taken an ibruprofen, but neither are making much impact at the moment. I may resort to Cocodomal later, but I really hate the constipation it gives me.

Ow!

I am so sorry you are having this pain with a tooth. I know this isn't your type of problem, but I once had trouble with a few teeth which would hurt and make me miserable. It seemed to switch sides now and then. Dentists couldn't figure it out. I had X-rays, etc. They looked at me like I was mad. It turned out the be infected sinuses causing a lot of pressure on the jaw. I hope it is something that can be rectified for you.

Just read something that might be helpful, apparently there is an acupuncture point on the web of skin between the thumb and first finger of the hand on the same side as the toothache, and you can trigger it by applying ice.

Could well be rubbish, but I suspect that at this point anything is worth a try!
