Silvercon 2.3

Yes, we decided to do it again!

If you're reading this, then you're invited to come to Silvercon 2.3, the occasional gaming convention held by [livejournal.com profile] waveney and myself to celebrate the fact that we're still happily married after 25+ years.

The dates are 20-22 October. The place is our house (ask for the address if you don't already know it) in Corfe Mullen in Dorset. The nearest rail station is Poole and there's a bus from Poole to Corfe Mullen.

The price is a fiver a head.

All food is included in the cost - be warned, food may contain genuine vitamins! (vegetarians and carnivores are both catered for)

There's two bunk beds and occasionally a futon, after that, it's bring a sleeping bag.

We have three cupboards full of games, but you're welcome to bring extras. Richard has a list somewhere (which he will update and post before long) to show what we currently own.

THe general aim is to play lots of games, talk a lot, eat, drink and generally have a good time. Come for the whole weekend, or just come for part of it.

I land on my way home from Dublin at about 7pm on the Friday, and I'm likely to be at home sleeping until Saturday lunchtime or so. But after that the weekend looks free so I may well turn up with a sleeping bag.

It's terrible that my October is already all booked up. Otherwise I'd totally be there!

I'll be there

Sounds like great fun, but I'll not be visiting the UK again while the inane hand luggage restrictions are in place.

I know Kathy said "next time" but, as luck would have it, we're in Rome that week.

Have fun!

Excellent!

Whilst I'd really love to come, it would cost the best part of £40 and take me five hours from Peterborough on the train, so I don't think I'll be able to make it, unfortunately. Sorry!

Can you get a cheaper ticket if you get a saver return? It's often worth phoning and finding out what specials are available. Sometimes you get different pricing on different routes. (When I saw what you mentioned for a rail ticket to Bath, I wondered then if you were missing the cheaper tickets)

That is a saver return, already. I checked.
