Rosalie and David's Wedding

It was a quiet wedding, and I think most people present shed a tear at some point, but it was a nice ceremony and thank heaven they managed to find a wording that didn't include either 'till death us do part' or 'as long as ye both shall live'.

Rosalie looks thinner than she did when I saw her a few days ago and has very little energy, but she enjoyed sitting in the sun afterwards and watching the children play in the wendy house. The hospice has a lovely garden with paths perfect for wheelchairs.

Richard was even more upset than me, but then I'd seen Rosalie a few days before and knew what to expect, whereas he was seeing her for the first time since she became ill.

My voice had recovered enough for me to read Alex (age two and a half) the whole of 'Green Eggs and Ham' which he absolutely loves. His mum and dad have brought him up to be a book lover.

There's a few photos at http://www.waveney.org/Family/Rosalie/index.html

I'm only in one, but you can spot the purple velvet.

The photos are lovely. It's not actually obvious how ill Rosalie is, which will be good for looking through them later. I know what a terrible shock it can be seeing someone who's that ill, so I'm glad the photos have turned out well.

What she said. Rosalie looks very pretty there to me.

Wonderful photos! The group shot is perfect. And I'm glad Rosalie was able to leave the hospice for the ceremony...the setting was very nice.
