Memberships for Orbital 2008 are looking really good. We've started keeping a running total on http://www.orbital2008.org/ and we're past 300 now. Admittedly that includes around 30 remaining pre-registrations and one beeblebear as well as a number of children, but I'm still happy and smiling.

It'll go up a bit more in a couple of weeks, as I know our membership secretary has several cheque payments waiting to be processed that she can't do immediately for work reasons.

How many will we reach before the price rise next Thursday?

I feel a sweepstake coming on...

Any bets? A bar of chocolate will be yours if you guess the exact number. (But you'll have to wait for the cheques to be paid in before I can announce the result)

He's in the cheque pile under Wilson. I am in the middle of making him an Orbital T-shirt but so far it has only resulted in a lot of swearing at the printer!

Allowing for most of the preregistration, and allowing for a guesstimate of new members I'll say 327 including one new apocryphal and for a bonus I'll take a wild guess and name it as well - Batty. :-)
