vandalism

My garden vandal was back again today. I didn't see her, but there was a pile of ripped flowers that I found this evening.

I went round to the address that might be hers (a neighbour followed her and a friend one day last week), but there was no car in the drive and no one was in. I left one of my flowers on the doorstep by way of a broad hint. (If it isn't her house, no harm done. If it is hers, then maybe she'll realise I know where she lives and decide to stop)

The whole thing is making me very stressed and jittery. It's a bit like being burgled.

I feel really awful that this is happening to you. Do you think the child may be neglected and wants attention so does bad things to get it? Do you know if she does this to any other gardens in the area? I'd hate to see how she acts when she gets older. I'm sorry about this. I can't even imagine how aggravated this would make me.

It is awful, isn't it? Especially not knowing what to do about it (we did have some similar little brats once - but having a large garden, we were able to move the daffodils and such out od reach and plant nice spikey natives there).

Burburous. Don't know how to spell it, but know to avoid it!

Hope this gets sorted soon :-(

Berberis! I've a lovely one in front of the dining room window. For a couple of weeks in April it's like a burning bush. And the rest of the year the dark green leaves are still pretty.

I dreamed about this last night. You tried to solve the problem by renting a pair of Triffids, but they went on strike and demanded to see their union representative,
