Wrist pain

Owing to a lot of severe wrist pain, only slightly helped by two days away from the computer, I've had to greatly trim the number of journals I'm reading (I've even dropped [livejournal.com profile] lifein1973 and given that Life on Mars is my new fannish passion, that may give you and idea of how bad the wrists are right now).

If I don't comment in your journals for a while, cross your fingers and I hope to be back again before too long.

The voice is a bit rough as well (did a lot of talking yesterday and today, but at least it was in a good cause)...

I am so sorry. I've put some of my longer posts behind cuts and I will do so with any memes. I hope your throat and wrist feel better soon. I've wanted to call you, but have hesitated because I wanted to give your throat a rest. We are so looking forward to Silvercon! :-)

Wah :-( I hope things ease for you woon!

This is a semi-serious suggestion, thinking of friends with pre-hensile toes, foot artists etc.: how are you with your feet?

I'm pretty good with my feet, but I don't have brilliant circulatin tehre and they get very cold unelss wrapped up well.

Ah - my feet are much the same: bed socks are de rigeur during the winter :-) I was wondering whether it would be sensibly possible to rig up a foot-controlled computer interface, though - do you e.g. drive a car, play a church organ or use a sewing machine? :-) No reason why should shouldn't at least 'mouse' by foot!!!

Not much has happened in 1973, apart from people offering downloads of the soundtrack. The one thing you should probably see, if you didn't, is the new page on the BBC website in which writer Matthew Graham answers some questions (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/lifeonmars/yourquestions.shtml). Including one I didn't ask but did wonder about: it seems that "Life on Mars" was actually playing at the wedding reception, rather than in Sam's head or on the soundtrack. So it was evidently part of his suppressed memory.

When you say the soundtrack, do you mean all the soundtrack or just the music?

Ah, if Life on Mars was playing at the wedding reception, then that answers a lot of questions. It was playing in Sam's car at the time of his accident, so he went back to the memory it triggered. The only real question is why he went back a bit earlier, but then he'd not have understood what happened to his father unless he went back earlier.

Are you busy in the evenings at present? (or free during the day) I'd like a Life on Mars chat and although the voice is a bit rough, it's a lot better than the wrists.
