Silvercon 1.5
Those of you who were at the last Silvercon (or who wanted to be there, but couldn't make it) should have just received an invitation to Silvercon 1.5 on 24-26 March 2006 at our place in Dorset.
If anyone didn't get an invitation and particularly wants to come, let me know.
Silvercon is a gaming weekend, for those who want to play board and card games all weekend with occasional breaks for eating and socialising. It shoehorns people into every possible corner of our house and makes use of our large collection of games (and some brought along by friends as well). It's pretty much sleeping bag accomodation as any available beds will be bagged very early on (one's gone already, and I only sent the invites out 10 mins ago).
All meals are provided (there's always a veggie option if you let us know in advance) and we're asking people to donate a fiver each towards the cost of food (unless you're only going to be there for a short period, in which case just chuck in a quid or two). People are usually pretty good at lending a hand with table-clearing and dish-washing.
For those who don't know, Silvercon 1 celebrated the Silver Wedding of
waveney and myself. Silvercon 1.5 is an excuse to have fun and a celebration of being married for 25 and a bit years.
