Barclays again

Barclays are starting to annoy me again...

Their online banking system is incapable of recognising that one person may have a community account, a personal account and a mortgage. The people who promised last week to undo the mess they made have not done so. A man on the phone has just succeded in confusing my personal and community accounts to the extent that he has reset the password on my personal account rather than the community account - so I won't be able to access my personal account for several days...

I'm now undergoing the usual process of explain the problem to several people in succession. At least they're English this time, but I'm still getting a bit narked.

If it wasn't for the cost of moving my mortgage (I got as far as doing the research, but in our case, it's uneconomic to move it) I'd move my banking to Alliance and Leicester tomorrow.

I don't know about mortgages, but A&L have been thoroughly expensive processing payments for Accio, particularly non Sterling/Euro transactions.

We are considering changing before the next one (assuming we actually get our act back together!)

It really makes no difference these days - all the banks are as bad as each other.....
