I love the NHS!

My doctor got me an appointment to see an ENT specialist about my voice in early January.

Today, I got a letter, cancelling it.

They've replaced it with on in early December.

I don't think I've ever been given an earlier appointment before!

Anyway, I'm a happy bunny. I just hope there's something that can be done to help.

Gosh your third sentence caught me by surprise. I had a bit of a double-take. Excellent news.

Wow, unexpected indeed.
Are you sure that it's for December in the year 2005? :)

Hurrah for the NHS! It does happen occasionally, I think. My mother got her knee replaced a month or two earlier than she expected because they had a bed free and rang up to ask if she was available the following week.

Yeah, but if the referral centre is anything like it is here, you'll end up seeing an ear specialist who'll then have to do an intra-department transfer to the throat specialist :-) I hope it goes well; have they told you what to expect?

Hurrah for the early appointment! I do hope they can come up with useful information, and things that will help.
